This whole book has amazed me. It has great information in it and make me think of why my company is outsourcing to India. As sad as it is, loosing some great workers I now understand why. If they do not outsource, the company will loose their competed edge.
One that this tells you, if that there is shortage on student getting in the science field. For example, the youngest scientists employ for the NASA (I think NASA or something like NASA) is about 40 years old.
I personally know this is true nurses also. I have had nurses tell me that many of the hospitals are shorthanded because there are not enough people becoming nurse.
How can we fix this crisis, not only for nurses but all the sciences? This really scary if you think about it.
This book tells you much more. I still have finished the book; although this is the one subject that bothers me.
I, myself, am a Systems Admin for EMC, and know a little about every area of computers, networks and the internet plus end user apps. I would not say I am an expert in any area but I pull some great things out of my head that amazes many managers. And I try to find solutions for tough problems and I would like to be part of designing a plan to get more children interested in different aspects of science.
If you would like to brain storm and come up with solutions with me I would be interested in here from you. Please e-mail me at re@TammyJardine.com, if I have a lot of responses, I would be glad to set up a forum.
Again there would not be any compensation, just a satisfaction that we will have a hand in the worlds history.
